its nice to have a slide hammer or you can make your own by tacking the screw on the end of a pipe and also weld a "T" half way up the pipe so you can hit it with a normal hammer.
Makes a great redneck slide hammer!:hillbilly:

Thought I would share how the paint has held up over the past year and a half.

Not bad.......could use a buff!

Thanks for the update you posted, I was wondering about the long term durability of the paint. I just purchased my first 60 week or so ago and am looking into rear bumpers and spare tire swing outs. Just curious why you mounted yours so high? Doesn't its height interfere with your view out the back window? Just curious before I make a decision. Thanks for taking the time to post that project, sorry to hear you sold it.

I like it high for departure angles when wheeling! Dont go to low.....
I can still see out the back too.

So I just picked up a white '83 FJ60 with some rust spots and badly fading paint, and though I know I will tear it up sometime in the future with trail damage - I just like all the damage on the rig to be from ME.

So your thread has been very inspirational. How is the Painter's Touch formula holding up? I am wondering if you would have picked that again (product, not color) or if there are any lessons learned after having it on the rig for a while. I appreciate your advice (in advance)!

I wouldnt recommend it if your looking for a three year or more paint...it has faded. It comes back to life if you rub the s*** out of it....I would use an enamel paint before this stuff. I shot another rig prior to this one with rustoleum enamel that still looks new. 4 years ago. Thats the way to go. IMO
