Anyway ...

Young man's got some tremendous talent and needed a rainy-day shop project for when he can't get outside to build metal shops/fences etc.

Gonna start with the springover with the new axle (3500 lb with electric brakes and jeep bolt pattern) ... fab new custom fenders to hold the Rubicon rear flares ... mount the rear Warn bumper/tire carrier ... and fit the jeep tailgate on the ass end.

When this first phase is done depends on the rain. :grinpimp:

I'm back at the airport now headin' to Baltimore so I'll check in with 'im when I get home in a coupla weeks.

good job Sir!

Nice tail gate too bad is a jXXp tail gate. I guees it's a Jxxp thing.

My trailer finally it's coming home. I had left it since March at a shop of one of the contractor/buddy of mine that we use here at the bridge.

He told me he will have his guys sand blast it and painted for me at cheap price.

Well, he got busy and never had the chance to get his guys to do it.

He took it to a body shop and have it sand blasted it rhino lined and painted.

have not seen it yet, but can't complaint. it turn out to be it will be for free.

it turn out to be that the contractor/buddy of mine will not charge me any money since his sub contractor

took forever. Also through out this time I have giving him a lot work too.

Will show you some pictures later. I still want to make a lid and a tail gate for it.

Would you consider bringing that lil white bottle with you next time? Might save me the embarrassment of being towed back to camp again.....:o

Daryl did you get tow this year again at Ramble?

last year when I did ride w/ you, our Presiden did us the favor of bringing us back to camp due to no propane.

I guess next time around I'll bring my spare jug for gas and one lil' propane tank. Ja! ja!

Good to hear from you daryl.

Nah, not at the ramble. I did run out whie trying to get up the big ledge on Gregs Rock a few weeks later. That sucked! I did pick up a small bottle for emergencies but like the shape of this one better. I'll be lookin for one next Bass Pro (or whatever) I see.

damn! I can see trouble up ahead!

I'll start by sayin', it's been along while since I posted. Been watchin' this build from day one:popcorn:, and this looks to be a fine little trailer fer ya.

I finished up my trailer back just prior to Jamboree this year. I used almost the exact jack for the front of mine. I do have one question fer ya tho... Is that box on the front removable? Otherwise that crank handle on the jack might bein' a bit hard to work? Just wonderin':hillbilly:

Nice to have you hangin' 'round again sir.

How's the lovely girlfriend doin'? :grinpimp:

Nope ... and it won't work at all.:lol:

First thang I noticed when I saw the trailer.

Damn jack's really too short anyways with the 35's. Bought me a square drop-leg unit to replace it with. Gonna have to re-do the tongue anyhow.

Jonathan did an excellent job of followin' the lines of the toolbox but those angles make the tongue too short. Gonna have to have another angle break right in front of the toolbox and stretch it on out some. Then we'll insert the new jack into the horizontal plate in front of the toolbox.

I'll be home again this weekend and I'll back the jeeper up to 'er and cypher out how much longer she's gotta be. :hhmm:

I'm really excited 'bout this project. The quality of Jonathan's craftsmanship is simply superb.

Thank you sir.. I have tried to keep up with you guys, just been stayin' quiet.:hillbilly:

I have to say the quality of Jonathan's work is outstanding!

I think one thing that is different about your jack vs. mine is the location of the mount. I think mine is only about 5" below the top and has 15" of travel. Granted I am only runnin' 32s on my trailer, I typically just throw a block under the leg if I am in a situation that requires it for leveling of the trailer for set up.

Like this one..

One other question I do have is one thing that came up when I did mine, do you plan on putting anything on the rear of the trailer for leveling/stabilizing the trailer while set up for camp? Originally I had thought of adding 2 additional jacks to the rear, but ended up just adding some pipe sleeves and pipe extensions for stabilizing legs. Are you going to add anything like that? Here is a photo of mine..

Just food for thought.:grinpimp:

Love this build, can't wait to see her finished.

Yessir ... got some leveler deals from Adventure Trailers. One for each end.

Gotta keep the lil' trailer steady when Debbie rides me like a cheap carnaval ride. :grinpimp:
