Hell son, they got cell phone coverage! We're only 15 minutes from Birmingham.

Later,

"I wasn't sure if they even had electricity in Birmingham ... much less cell phones".

Ja! ja! Ja! Ja! that's funny right there!

Is it safe to go that area of the of country?

they don't burn or hang Mesi' cans in that area? do they?

I really want to go and it sems like I might have to go to Union Pacific Rail Road Head quarters in Omaha,NE in November during the Clayton run.

I hate that! My boss likes to have those Board meeting during the Wheeling events. I missed the Ramble due to a board meeting, now I am going to miss the Clayton run for another Board meeting.

that Sucks!

I have not giving up yet it's either the Red Neck Gig or Clayton.

Prob'ly so ... them Rednecks ain't that much diff'rent than the rest of us. :grinpimp:

Show on up JP ... reckon you could find yourself a few ol' caddies parked out in the woods ... and steal the hubcaps off 'em. :flipoff2:

:flamingo:

..and who said that I need Hubcaps!

I need money SIr! and lots of it. them hubcaps are not as good as the one we just recovered.

are they?

I am trying to work something out w/ the boss as far as schedule and the way things are going w/ the 40 it might not be ready.

I find clayton more interesting, even if I have to walk it. Besides I belive that guy woody is coming.

I am hoping if no 40 somebody will have a empty space.

Jonathan bought hisself a big ol' self-loadin' trash haulin' truck with a hydraulic jib crane so he can load up some trash in the hurricane clean-up effort down on the coast ... and hopefully make a buck or two. He left out this past Wednesday. Not sure exactly where he's at down there but he ain't got much cell phone coverage.

However ...

was able to get a text message sayin' the trailer's all completely assembled. :bounce2::cheers::bounce2:

Talked to Tommy and he's gonna try to wire 'er up this week.

:flamingo:

Today's Wednesday ... and Tommy's wirin' up the trailer right now.

Tomorrow's Thursday ... and I get to fly home.

Next day is Friday ... and I'm gettin' the trailer.

Life is good.

:flamingo:

trailer looks nice, like any other project that you start.

WHERE'S THE SO CALL " MONEY SHOT"

Took the drain plug off the bottom of the water tank and replaced it with a faucet dealie so I can fill up the coffee pot and bucket for shower right quick.

She's now loaded out for the Crawl ... and yes ... the kitchen sink IS in there. :grinpimp:

Go through the scales on the way and see if they will weigh it. I would be interested to know how much it weighs loaded. Looks real nice Kowboy. Can't wait to see it in person.

The Rubi Kamper is WAY SWEET!!

She towed straight as an arrow behind Rubi and never once swayed to any extent at all that could be felt. Took a few miles to get the trailer brakes dialed in right but once that was done ... very secure feelin' the trailer slow the jeeper down a bit during stops. One "panic" break for an idiot that pulled out in front of me went very smoothly. With the loaded weight ... and the new shocks ... she was smooth ridin' down the road with no bouncin'. I know this 'cause I could see 'er outta all three mirors on the jeeper ... which was cool in itself. The strange lil' hitch makes an extremely positive connection so there was no noise at all or jerkin' around when stoppin' or goin'. I've towed a lotta dif'rent junk ... WITH a lotta dif'rent junk ... and this set-up truly brought new meanin' to the phrase "didn't know it was back there".

Gas cans came in very handy to extend my road miles ... I was addin' a can ev'ry time the Big Red Truck stopped so I could cut down on additional stops.

Water tank hand pump worked fine for small amounts and the faucet set-up on the bottom made quick work of fillin' the coffee pot.

Didn't use the propane tanks. Never took a shower in the cool weather (and was sleepin' alone). Just used a small disposable bottle for the stove this go 'round for simplicity ... and the small amount of cookin' I did.

The tent is a thang of beauty. I chose this model for the hard shell and all the windows/doors for ventilation. It was very quick to set-up and I stayed perfectly dry durin' the rain storms ... once I woke up and zipped up the window. It appears to be very well built ... but I suppose only time will tell that. When it closes up ... it's very tight. In fact, when I closed it in the cool mornin' air ... I had to sit on the case to close the latches. It was much easier at the house in the warm weather and I assume will get easier as the tent material softens some with age.

The trailer has ample storage space for all my gear and was easy to pack with the lid and the tailgate open.

Didn't need either the shovel or the ax ... but they look cool.

I'm sorry I didn't take the "money shot" durin' the trip ... but I got one in the driveway when I got home. :grinpimp:

The other picture is after I ran into town and cleaned 'er up at the car wash ... ready for the next trip already.
