rubber plug on the brake pedal went bad!

well just to let you guys know, if suddenly your brake lights stay on, there is a rubber plug that the switch hits on the brake pedal, and for some reason, after 27 years my brake switch just punched a hole right through it:doh:

so i have it fixed now, i used a flat head 10 24 bolt, with nylon lock washer.
tried to replace it with another rubber-plug off my 87, but i pulled the end off trying to install it.

that is all
