Noticed truck start to shutter at a redlight, factory temp gauge spike to full red, radiator overflow full but doesn't seem to be any water in oil, oil level between cross hairs on stick, or oil in antifreeze. Drove it about a mile to get to gas station. Only thing I can think is stuck thermostat?

Or electrical short that crosses the temp gauge wiring? Check the coolant inside the radiator and belts, if both are good I would say it is electrical especially since you said it stuttered.

When my head gasket failed it didn't mix coolant and oil, it put coolant into the cylinder only which caused a misfire.
