RTH: Toyota 8" rear axle weight

Does anyone know what a 8" toyota rear axle with drums acutally weighs? (preferably with an elocker as well)

i am getting a whole axle assembly with the elocker setup shipped and i need a good weight estimate. i could guess but i dont want to go too overboard and pay for excessive shipping costs.

I saw a link on pirate4x4 where they were estimating 250 but did not see where anyone had an actual measurement.

I don't think a rear axle comes in over 200#.... I can flop them around by myself pretty easy....

yeah,
thats what i was thinking.
well, i guess it didnt matter anyway. the difference in shipping between 250 and 400 lbs was only about $25 anyway.

Well, on another note, my new (to me) complete 8" rear axle with toyota elocker and 4.88 gears installed by Slee, along with my new front ifs center section with 4.88s is on its way to me!!
yay. got to love a bolt in upgrage!!

the E-locker is over 2x as heavy as a 4cyl 3rd.
