That looks like "Box of Possums" (entrance to "Poison Rock").

Correct! you get nothing for the right answer though.
This might be the first pic I've ever seen that makes the obstacle look more knarly than it actually is... most pics don't do the obstacel justice.

Tired, didn't you knock the poison rock down? the skinny rock sticking out of all the other ones.

Looks like you're putting it to good use. I have the same CB but haven't really run it through it's paces. How do you like it on the trails etc?

that two tone brown on the 80 series has got to be the best color from factory IMO.....

It used to work well, but I've changed the antenna setup and location so many times that it sounds like crap.... One day I'll SWR it!

Agree! But thinking of Durabaking the entire bottom with OD green

Quick change of subject. Sweet rig. I was looking at the first few pictures and was thinking it looked really familiar. I saw you lived in Alabama and I live in Atlanta so I knew it wasn't that. Then I saw the picture of all the cruisers crossing the creek in Tellico and I remembered. I was sitting in the back of a buddy's 88 Isuzu Trooper that was straight axled with a bunch of other rigs parked right above yall eating lunch when you took that picture probably about 2 years ago!! This was before I had a 80 and I was seriously thinking then how much I wanted one when I saw everybody role through the river. Awesome write up!!

Awesome story! You were there on MLK in '05? that is sweet!
You may have seen in me ATL, being that I was a member of Leaky Seals, at one period I was up there almost every month departing for the monthly ride.

I received a PM asking me what that was on my center console, and if it was an arm rest then where did I get it....
It is an arm rest.... a homemade one. I used Pleather from walmart and very dense foam from ebay and sewed it myself by hand over the course of a few nights while watching TV. It's bolted to the lid via an internal board.
I call it a "loaf of bread" since that's what it looks like. But it's very comfortable.
I also replaced the torn up H/L shift boot with the Pleather to match... again, hand sewn from the original boot pattern.

Nice rig... but I gotta ask..
Do you pound the Sh!t out of your horn, or has the heat just warped it that much? :)

Uhhh, I punched the pi$$ out of it once leaving work once, the upper right area, and it dented it. The left indention just kind of happened, no idea.

Well... my ROTW is nearing the end, it's late Sunday night....
It's been real. Thanks for having me!

Haven't been on here much lately but just happened to see where you featured your rig and I have to say it has come along way since the thornbirds!

Take it easy Eric!

You are one of few who actually saw it with the thornbirds!

Excellent write up as usual.

Thanks guys...
It's been nice being the RO2W (Rig of Two Weeks)

Bump, thanks for the link and budget friendly ideas Eric. It's neat seeing the evolution of these rigs over the years.
