Well like most of us I started my love of cruiser as a kid I saw my first on in high school( ok not that young) it was a 83 red 40 with diamond plate and big tires, my buddy rolled down the highway and killed it…but, I know then I wanted one . So later that year my Dad and I went to look at a 78 FJ 40 that needed to be reassembled, It was a bare frame and a tub ..I loved it I spent the nexted year re-rebuilding it on found out the top doors and windshield of my bj40 was taken off to rebuild that 83 that started it all… and yes it was a Canadian bj converted to gas 2F before I got it but what a great trans

sorry for the bad pic but its all I got of her …. Then my now Ex wife made me sell her to get married and I went to the dark side and bult every J**p from 64-99 and lost alot of money and never found what I wanted till my Brother brought this cruiser home

It was all stock but this is as close to that as I have it had 2157515 on it and only 90k. My Bro drove it for a few years and I helped him get it to the stage its in in the pics, then he said he wanted to sell cause it need to much work so I SWOOPED her up and started Driven and savein fist was a ARB bull bar side bars and a 12 warn

then I did a BDS 2 ½ in with JT outfitter 1 ¼ in shackles

got stuck my first trip out ad found out I needed better tires and a rear bumper

I hated the first set

but the second set was much better, I on my 5th set

I started savin part to SOA Pickle and had to rethink the killin of a nice rig and got at 40 to build again but that wasn’t me either so I got patches and build her up right here on mud and hope to keep building or removein stuff till I get her her just right … heres the link to her build

yep that one and Metal Tech's 80 made me paint mine orange ... kinda wish I still had a top..... put two roll overs dont help the roof much I think K-rocks got my number I dont know how well this round up will be for my sheet metal

mines krylon punkin orange #2411 easy to touch up I carry a spare can in the truck

nope just the paint clear coats too show and shine for me
