Rear axle, you can see the extended breather hose, goes through the chassis up to the engine bay.

Hopefully one day there'll be an OEM subtank there

Yesterday I dismantled my overhead console to try to mount my Garmin 276C somewhere on it. I think the red marked portion in the following pic would be best, trying to make sure it won't be in the way of the rearview mirror and figure out the wiring.

I bet your rear lift gate is open like barn doors, right?

Barn doors are not usual in Venezuela, along in the hole world .. are more frecuent for ONU, and this kind of organisations ..

Here you will see a few ones .. all GX basic trim ..

This is what I was referring to. An 80 UN spec with rear barn doors, P/T 4WD with 5 spd manual trans. It belongs to a friend of mine in Thailand.
