I like your before and after - nice truck - good write up!

great looking truck. i really like the drawers, good job

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, this will be a forever going project and I'm hoping will last me till I get too old to wheel. I'll post up some after pics of the fender lining if/when it gets done.

Some wheeling had to have occured:

Living only 16.4 miles from Uwharrie National Forrest, I get plenty of oppurtunities to wheel. Here are some pics and a video of some of my excursions.

And what is wheeling without trail damage? Busted up shock, dented rocker, dented quarter, boogered up wheel.

The mods never stop:

Flex, you can't go anywhere without someone commenting on how much or little flex someone's rig has. Well, in my attempt to be on the much end of things, I experimented with the hitch-pin "mod". It works great, but my heavy foot might be a little too much for the stock mounts. So I beefed them up.

Same rock, same shocks, hitch-pin vs non.

Nice job Alky....especially on a high school budget!

A note on the rock posing pick.......don't forget you have 35's and the other rig had 29's.
But i must add, after seeing him wheel with the hitch pil out, i could really tell a difference in flex.

Hey that looks just like mine. Very nice!

Nice truck! I curious why you went with slee 4" coils in the front instead of OME? How did the 3FE do with the 35's on it? Thanks

Went with the Slees to try for a more level ride, but I think some OME comp springs (longer when un seated, better for flex) might be in my future. It handles great now though.

With a few little tweaks, 35's on a 3FE w/ stock gears really isn't that bad, I'd rather have 5.29s, but it is definately liveable.

nice post , looks like your coming along on your truck. Those tires look great. I know everyone one will be smiling when you get that front bumper on there. Hopefully , when I get my truck fixed or a new one I will catch up and do some wheeling out your way. Looks great..

Work always has to be done:

Some of the things I've had to replace or PM.

=-Left bank O2 sensor
=-Gutted Cats, AI removal, EGR dissabled
=-Replace alternator
=-New exhaust, turbo muffler, 2.5 after muffler
=-Remove trailer wiring harness due to intermittent flasher issue
=-Leak in rear washer line
=-Full tune-up
=-Front axle rebuild
=-Richened fuel mixture via MAF sensor
=-Replaced radiator top tank

Welp, got the Aussie Locker done. After the first couple of sharp turns resulting in loud harsh clunks (normal for the first few) it is nearly silent and all but unnoticeable on road. Not any offroad testing yet, but I can promise there'll be some soon.

Finally got the Reflex lining done, took ALL day to get it prepped but it was worth it!

And I already got it muddy testing out the locker...those pics will be up soon.

I noticed throughout your post, your 80 has sat on three(3) different sets of wheels. Your first post shows the rig w/ OEM '92 wheels, then you post about your new purchase of, US Wheel Modular 94s. You ran those for a while then went back to '92 OEM. Any reason why you have been going back-and-forth? Do you not like the look/performance of the US Wheels?
