stock to trail king back to stock to trail king again I LOVE IT ... and the wheels are super pimp:cheers:

Mel, this rig is BADASS! The pickup conversion looks awesome with the shortened body + frame.

I'm excited to see what you do to extend the cage over the roof. I've been considering an exo cage for my 60 so I can somewhat protect the body, so I'll look to your progress for inspiration.

Back in the day I harassed Al about the SOA conversion, and Velveeta ( when it was still a wagon ) was my first inspiration to do a spring over. It's awesome to see his old rig see a new life in the hands of another great mudder.

Have any old wheeling pics of Velveeta? It'd be cool to get a progression from when it was stock, to initial SOA, to initial roof chop / bob, to disassembled and finally to today and it's pickup conversion.

Pic from today....

THATS BADASS did you close in the rear too more pics please .... Mmm makin want to put a top back on my bobber
... PS I too have a secret love of 62 head light :meh:

That looks great Mel. Cut off the cage to fit the top or to build something different?

This is my first welding project and I am learning by trail and error.

The top portion of the hatch is welded on,

the rest of the back is not filled in......... YET!

I'll post up some pics as it all comes together.
