Anyone have this tent or know anything about it? I like it and thinking about getting one to put on top of my Canadian M101? Sold at www.sleeoffroad.com

I have one that I bought at Slee.

Unfortunately I don't really have any knowledge of the other choices to compare it with though.

so does yours open up towards the rear of the tralier? and that is where the latter comes down at? is the tent setup wider than the trailer itself? Yours does not look it. Is it pretty heavy duty material? And how did you mount your cans on the side, I am wanting to do the same, I will be carrying two 5 gallon water cans and two 5 gallon diesel cans but not sure which ones to put inside trailer? I was thinking of putting the diesel cans inside to keep from being stolen or siphoned?

MIne opens to the side. There are some more pictures of the trailer here...

I liked they way Henry C did his trailer with the cans on the side and made my own version of it. I could live with myself if a can of fuel spilled on the ground but if it first filled all my gear in the trailer with diesel I'd be miserable and have a guilty conscience. I think its best to have them on the outside where you can see them.

it looks pretty slick mounted on the 74 like that - great idea!

Funny how a 74 on 38s is starting to look "just about right..."

I'm just waiting for you to do all the R&D + torture testing. Then I'll just copy you...as usual :grinpimp:

Good thing I'm not waiting to see how your 45 turns out...

The window is below the fly so it's pretty sheltered. I imagine even in sideways rain, it'd be ok. The "canvas" is actually some synthetic material that is waterproof. I don't think I've been in mine in any more than a light drizzel so my comments are guesses at this point.
