I saw these boxes made by Plano on an overlander website. They seemed like a great size for putting them on my roof rack. Their not super heavy duty or waterproof but they seem to seal well and can be locked and have wheels on one side. I was finding them for anywhere from $40-$50 plus shipping each but just found them on the walmart website for $20 and free shipping over $50. I bought 2 and a cheap gun case to total $50 with no tax or shipping. Anyway thought if share as it seems like their a great option for those of us who don't need heavy duty pelicans etc.

I keep my bow hunting scent free clothes in one of those sealed in a bag. It's been ok but they aren't near as sturdy as, say, an Action Packer.

I do look at the lip on the edge, that design usually tells you how waterproof they would be, at least still in rain.

I have a few of the heavy duty black recycled plastic ones from Home depot. Those are waterproof and very strong, you can sit on them, sleep on them, stack them etc. And completely waterproof in rain. Not too much more than $20 either IIRC.
(How come there is no tax from walmart if you're in Calif, that seems odd?)

Not sure why no tax. They were shipped from the east coast though. You're right LFD they aren't as sturdy as my action packer but they will work for what I need them for. I may try to use a little weather stripping to see if I can get them to seal up for traveling during winter months or I may just use them for my hunting gear storage as well if they don't seem to cut the mustard.

I bought a couple of Hardigg chests off eBay. Expensive but protect gear from the elements. Worth the $ IMO
