Anybody hear of or have any experience with the company CM Dachzelte. They make a fiberglass roof top tent which is supposed to be superior to Autohome. At least that is what the guy told me. Since I do not speak German so well maybe he said otherwise. Anyhow, I just statred a new venture and am looking to add some products when I ran into this. Now I'll add my little plug - www.pghelectricboats.com.

Any info would be appreciated before I ship any over.

I don't see the value either on first glance. The Autohome Maggiolina product seems way more functional with its cube shape when up versus literally half the interior volume on this angled roof model. That space can be put to great use. The Autohome also seems full of features, full of expansion options for the future, and I've never heard complaints about its quality that would cause me to buy essentially a smaller product for more money with less features.

The Magiolina's are actually about the same price, more for the ones that have the roof rack. Blame it on the Euro/dollar exchange rate. This one compares the Columbus and the design allows more headroom at the sacrifice of knee room.

A few thoughts I have about the CM tent:
-roof design seems like it would be stronger due to the "ribs" and fewer flat surfaces
-they talk about an inner and outer fabric, which if means double wall, then it would be a better insulated
-I haven't seen a picture of the ladder but with that roof design, the ladder must either fold very compact or maybe isn't storable inside the tent itself.

Not enough airflow for me. I want one that opens up all the way around. I do like the hard shell but it may not be worth giving up airflow.

I bought the Roof-Top-Tent from Rookracks.com Plus it has the enclosure for a changing area below or shower.

Nice tent and set-up. I wouldn't mind being in that set-up right now.

I'll be visiting the CM factory in May. Once I see it in person I'll let people know what I think. And hopefully have more photos.
