Roof top tent and your dog

i was thinking about this when i was considering to roof mount or trailer mount the tent. my dog is only 40 lbs but having to carry him up the ladder and hand him off to the wife as she tries to hold him would be a little difficult being so high on top of the roof. Trailer mounted i could put him inside the tent without the need of a second set of hands.

but a dog your size, sleeping in the vehicle would probably be the easiest.

My 45 lb Border Collie is an easy lift in with a tent on a trailer. Getting a Lab up the ladder to the roof would be a workout.

Hachi in Airtop in Fairbanks, AK. The :princess: and I with the Boston worked well in our small Airtop for 9000 kilometers to Alaska and back. FWIW.

Cheers,

When they get older they can have a harder time with jumping. That YouTube option works well when they are young but doubt it will be jumping and climbing like that in old age. My 10 year old boxer is starting to have a harder time jumping in the back of the 80. Have to lift my 9 year old male in the back.

Not sure what you would do other than pack them up or hoist them somehow.
