Does anyone make a roof rack like this one for an 80 that you can actually obtain in the United States of America within the next month? You know, here in the largest economy in the free friggin' world?

I mean honestly, does anyone in the US make anything?

I just want a roof rack with the rails at the back so I can put my RTT towards the front and access the rack with my bumper ladder in the back.

Is that just way out of this world?

Obviously this company, Front Runner, is the only one that had this bright idea but they are in BFE and it will cost 3 months salary as well as 3 months time to get it here.

I believe that Mudrak had some INTI racks. Very nice product for an 80.

I have looked into the INTI. Talked to Gary and Alvaro. I have seen it up close and almost bought one, still may.

However, the problem lies where I said, the rails are at the front.

Talked about turning it around but they tell me I cannot do that.

Thought about cutting it and relocating the rails, but after you drop $1200 on a rack, the last thing you want to do is start cutting it up.

african outback.

the half rail can be installed front or rear.

I'd give you a link, but I think you know where to find one ;)

I'm not sure if it would fit the bill but the rack on my 80 has a rail running all the way around. Front, back, and sides although I am not aware of it being available anywhere in the US currently. Course I also havn't been looking.

Thanks.

I did not realize you could flip that one around. I will check in on that.

So, sell me yours. I will cut the damn rail. :hillbilly:

the rack comes without a rail, you can get a full rail or a half or 2 halfs...whatever. install the half rails in the front, back, whatever.

it's a glorious rack.

what are you using now? yakima/thule bars?

2 Yakima bars. I had three but tore one off on a tree.

I want to go with something that does not stick out from the side for obvious reasons.

I REALLY like that INTI rack that Alvaro sells but...as I said before, no access from the rear ladder.

I want to be able to put water and firewood up top.

These racks are ******* spendy.

You coming east anytime soon?

Don't know how you would ship something like dat der thang...............

Less I strapped it to Junk's momma's ass and let her hike to Cali.:D

got my AO off of slee. love it. im flipping the rail this spring to put the tent up front too. have a ladder mounted on the hatch a got from MOT and its stupid to have the tent on the ass where the easy access storage space is.

You can still keep your tent on the Yakima bars and maybe get a smaller basket rack to fit behind it.....on some more Yakima towers.

:meh:

Exachary. Not really sure the point of piling everything in the center except weight distribution.

That was a thought but I want to put some lights up front and then I would have to ad a light bar, etc, etc... I figure a single rack is the easiest way to go. Plus, the Yaks have a tendency to hang up on trees so I would have to cut those down shorter.

just read that Westin sells some sort of modular system with rails, crossmembers, planks etc.
