So in the end you bought a 77 frame as that's about all that well be left of the 4 door wagon

There will be more left than that but we will see when that will even happen. I am in no hurry but the 79 pickup body was a screaming deal and that particular source won’t be getting any more.

Back on the bench with the front axle for the final time.

Easiest solution here for clearance issues is to simply move the stock steering box up and back a little.

I also have this which does fit the steering box and is 1.25” shorter besides being flat. Also have a drop down that is more flat than stock. So have x3 pitman arm options.

Next is trusses for the housing, knuckle gussets, steering stops, diff skid and a few tabs for brake lines. Not doing shock mounts until it goes back in! 😑👍

Really not had much time for this Cruiser lately but here is the front axle with a little more work done.

For a Toyota axle, I am pretty happy with this.

Shock mounts and steering stops about all that is left.

We may add a strap here to finish off the skid.

The skid is that Ballistic Toyota 9.5” I posted pics of earlier in the thread. It’s the same one we used on the rear only the updated version. That and we hacked it up a lot to fit the front housing.

Nice work

Relocation brackets for the steering box. Two plates here. 😉

Drilling the frame, not done yet! We will sleeve it with dom tube.

Just a slapped together super fast steering arm so ignore the joint but yes at full lock we will clear. I will do a dom tube tie rod and drag link with 80-series ends.

Steering stops made as well. I ordered some 23mm bungs today that we can build our own steering from, with 80-series tres.

These knuckles and high steer arms rock man! 🤘

I am pretty happy with how it is all playing out!

Lots left to do though on the front and rear axles before we are painting any of this.
