I need some help- I just picked up my freshly powder coated wheels and realize I should have ordered new center caps. The ones that came with the wheels I bought are bent up and three of the four caps do not have the metal ring that I assume helps secure the cap to the wheel. Can I pop the caps on after wheel installation or no?

I found a set of RW's and plan to copy what Yeti White did to his, love that color! Question, what spec wrench is used to remove the bead locks and how difficult is it to do? I did read to be sure to use blue locktite when reinstalling.

It's called a "Wheel Lock Ring" and is designed to protect the valve stem - nothing to do with beadlock.

Here's a .pdf that every owner of these wheels should have: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/installation/40362D86F9D917D98825767800785BB2_Tundra_Sequoia_Land Cruiser TRD Alloy Wheel PTR45-34070-34120 IssF.pdf

It contains the info you need about the fasteners on the lock ring.

HTH

Hint: Torx Male T30 ;)

Many thanks! I want to do this right as far as what instruction/tools to use in regards to painting these wheels. I have a friend that owns a paint/auto shop who is a phenomenal painter with state of the art equipment. Obviously the pdf is crucial info for the tire shop doing the install.

For what its worth I never removed the rings before installing the tire. Turned out just fine. Also- buy some extra center caps...2 of mine are peeling and faded and they were brand new 18 months ago. Im kind of disappointed that they dont last longer.

Thanks! Where did you purchase the center caps?

Mine came out pretty good as well, still haven't mounted them yet.

I honestly can't come up with the color name. My custom paint guy, who I trust talked me into this color. It is more of a titanium/gunmetal like shade, baked on in a oven. My hands never touched the wheels on this job but worth the $$ I'd like to think.
