I’ve got a buddy looking for a 3/4 person tent like your XL. His wife is pushing him hard for the smittybilt for the “value” pricing. What features can I point out as extra value to fight cheap Chinese pricing?

There are so many. Especially with the new xl coming out this week. First the interior poles on our xl have been upgraded in size to 1" where others are 5/8. Our interior poles are covered with canvas to protect the tent. Our ladder is telescopic not sliding like the smitty. The new models come with a window in the ladder awning. Custom zipper pulls, anti-condensation mat built into the floor, included boot bags and gear hammock, included annex. Our frame joints are aluminum where the other is plastic. We have basically maximized the options while maintaining a price you can afford.
