So taking ‘13 LX to Florida from WI, did a complete 60,000 mile service, almost new tires, wipers and brakes......anything I am missing other then my discount fuel card?? By the way, my local Lexus dealer advised against doing the ACH fluid change, “It can create problems when you have none”.

Happy Holidays to all!!!

Flat tires and dead batteries are the biggest cause of getting stranded. You should be fine since that rig is basically new. I drive my 08 with 106k miles and run it straight for 16 1/2 hours from Orlando to Austin which is about 1,130 miles. I did that trip 4 times in the last year. Going to Orlando we usually stay overnight on the way.

To me that says they don't have confidence in their ability to change the fluid. When done properly it can only
improve performance. Leaving contaminates in the system can create problems. The AHC flush isn't necessary before the road trip but I would look for a new service provider when you get back.

Find a new Lexus dealer or garage to service your LX lol... Incompetent lol!

I'm also prepping for a long road trip, a little over 2 weeks. Also doing the U-turn in Florida (Tampa). Stopping at Budbuilt for some goodies. Not sure on my route back yet, taking the long way. Might end up in Memphis for a day or 2.

My dealer had no issues doing the AHC Flush at the 60K service. Seems odd some dealers don't want to since it listed in the 60K service. I guess the post above is right on the money, they probably can't do it competently.

That’s what I was thinking.....no other Lexus dealers near me.....going to call the local Toyota dealers,
Ahc fluid is as easy as bleeding brakes. Print off the diy section off ih8mud and bring it to any garage that's up for doing it.
