This isn't my FJ40, but I tried to make it mine.

Anyways, I said I would pass along the pics and info if I passed.
1978 FJ40. Miles show around 88k.
The Good:
Desirable year.
The bezel is correct.

Factory disc brakes that work great.
2F runs good (recent tune up and other presale work done by Southern Street Machines in Maumelle -
welcome-to-ssm)
4 speed shifts good. Didn't test the tcase.
Cool patina
Complete interior and hard top. Has one jump seat in storage.
All original. No bad goofy mods. Still has rubber floor mats, original AM/FM radio, center console, all knobs, etc. Everything under hood looks proper.
Warn 8274 with cover.
Been with the current owner since early 80's. Was bought as a hunting truck. Has been driven by a teenager, used to pull a trailer to craft shows, stayed in Colorado for a while, and probably other cool history the owner could share.
As far as the owner knows, the top and doors have never been removed.
The Bad:
Some rust (pictured). The floor pans and frame look great though.
Tires are shot. Wheels suck too.
Only have one original wheel (currently on passenger front). No hubcaps.
Probably needs a clutch.
Tie rod ends are toast.
Muffler is gone.
Shocks are probably original.
The Excellent:
Priced at $5500.
Family member doing the selling (for her depression era mother) says there might be some OBO room in there, but her mother (final say) likes to keep things and has a hard time letting go.
I found this cruiser in Maumelle one day as I happened to look at a storage facility when driving by. Had to double back around to make sure I saw a cruiser. Went back when the facility is open and asked the office lackey if I could go behind the gate to get the number.
I called the number and she met me within 5 minutes. I drove it around the lot. I regret not road driving it, but the tires and TRE's had me worried.
Phone number is 501-350-9612
