I would ask Greg or Sheldon about 24v motors. I believe Sheldon found a shop that will rewind the 12v to 24v.

If you find out who, that should be a sticky in the 24V / Diesel section. I have passed up a number of winches because I am looking for a winch that is in need of a new motor.

I would like to go to River Shiver but am not sure if I have the time off yet. If I do get the time, perhaps I can go as a navi with someone.

Thanks for the info on the winch. I will have to make a decision pretty quick. I NEED and HAVE to do some WHEELING pretty darn quick. John I have heard about the 24v running 12v winches it works , but how long who knows!?.

X2. Looks like they would also be good at rebuilding 24V alternators.

24v motors...

i just got a winch converted to 24v by brighouse auto electric, in richmond. they are two blocks from where rob's shop used to be, around the river rock. their # is 604-273-4904. the motor was about three hun and having the solinoid pack converted was about half that.
