took a run up to Rheinhart Lake this weekend with my buddy Dave in his Ford F250. Friday was long as this was our third option, tried many other routes to other lakes but trails got tight and steep and snow covered or were locked. Ended up here and couldn't have been happier. Rolled into camp around 10pm in the frozen rain, Dave managed to rip off his exhaust on a log and lose the bead on a front tire plus get stuck enough times to break in my winch tenfold. The snow was deep, thick and impossible to continuously clear, our final few kilometers comprised of Dave moving 20 feet at a time and getting stuck until the bead was lost, at which point we found a small stream to pull out into so I could take the lead. Instant stuck. after a few hours of this we made it.

Spent the weekend drinking beer, BS'n, ice fishing and shooting skeet. Got to try out my new RoofTopTent courtesy of @Rubiclone, worked great and couldn't be happier.

Dave brought up his wall tent which saved our ass as we were all soaked to the bone after friday.

Very cool. I like the heated palace.

How's the cold transfer through the bottom of the RTT? Come up with any ingenious solutions?

Sweet run, I like your determination...

Believe me it took a lot of beers to make it :beer::beer::steer:

it was actually fine the way it is, threw down a fleece blanket because they seems to stay warm to the touch no matter the conditions. did find there was a fair bit of condensation under the mattress at the end of it all tho, took monday and dried it all out
