Has anyone heard of, or done a retrofit where the ECU has been changed to a 2000-2002 and the yaw sensors and wheel speed sensors have been put on and made a 98-99 have the VSC and ATRAC. I know it sounds pretty out there, but for those not wanting to sell their 98-99 to turn around and get the 00-02 model for the safety mods. Just curious, looks like it could be done for under 3k if you bought the parts from the online parts catalogue. Any ways i'd like to hear feedback from you guys on this, cause selling and re-buying just seems silly.....

Actually, installing all those sensitive electronics sounds silly.

Sell yours, and buy another. You even get the 4 pinion front diff.

Seriously sell the vehicle in THIS market for 8-9k and turn around to buy a 16-17k vehicle that is 2 years newer, what shall the bank say? Especially when it is POSSIBLE to make the one you have the same as the one you are going to owe 6-7k on now??? Why not give it the old college try, or is that lost on the 100 series owners?

I think I'd opt for the front locker and a set of studs. Trying to retrofit all the electronic gadgetry onto a rig that wasn't designed for it sounds like a daunting task. Not to mention if it isn't "right" it could end up causing bigger problems than not having it at all.

leave it off, I've never had it activate when I "needed it", it only interferes with my funtime in the snow.
