@Kerch71

Looks like a nice truck, but seems a bit spendy to me when compared to some of the other rigs sold recently. Ebay is probably the best place to sell this one.....

Glws.

Here is a truck
SOLD - 1978 Fj40
that was recently sold (for reference). I'd say that the one in the link is a bit more desireable than yours. There is a buyer for every truck. Just have to find the sweet spot.

The pics that you posted are not the highest quality. Better pics could help increase interest.

Part of the trouble here is, your heading says "restored". The truck isn't restored, it is a modified rig. It has disks and power steering etc... Restored is a whole other animal. The diamond plate usually is cause for concern for most because they can't see what is under it. Rock sliders are protection, diamond plate usually means cover up. Its a nice looking rig and you might get more traction with calling it a Resto-Mod. The lack of factory equipment like a hard top, seats and doors can be explained by the mod. Power steering is only a plus if it is done right. It looks like you did a spring over? Is it done right? Cut and turned? What did you do with the steering after? Those are things people will be looking at. If you start somewhere in the 10 to 12 on eBay you might spark some interest. It looks like people are watching, just not bidding at the minimum you have set. GLWYS

Thanks for the info.

You're right. It isn't fully restored, it's modified and partially restored. I would edit it but I can't figure out a good way to do that on this site. Just want to get it sold so I can get another Land Rover. Previous owner and a local 4x shop did most of the work. I fell into the trap of "always wanted an FJ, love the way they look, it looks good and runs well, think I'll get it." Live and learn. I have lowered my asking price significantly to $16k. I also know the difference between diamond plate and rock sliders. My LR3 has rock sliders.
