Colorado m'fing Springs!
Update 4-27

We have made it and are looking for a place currently so we are holed up in a hotel on the northside off academy and 25. Our apt/home search is during the day so we are just hanging around during the evening night. Went to Bristol Brewery last night, man i love that place! Saw helen hunt falls today and just been to about all the dog parks so far. Hows the museums downtown? Most places we go to are dog friendly but the little guys are getting used to waiting all day in the car. Wouls love to wheel the trails a little right now but the cruiser is loaded down further than i have ever seen..but we can ride :)
Anyway if anyone is free and wants to meet for a beer or dinner or wrenching...just about f'ing anything to get me out of the hotel give me a call or text.

Hey ya'll from texas!
So after visiting CO two years ago my wife and I have finally found a way to move out to the land of the Rockies. Needless to say we are stoked!

My wife has found a job already so much of our worry has been put aside but i need to find work also. Looking for something part time to begin with until our living is situated. Just looking for something to keep me busy and supplement her income, doesn't have to pay great. Mostly looking for a live-able schedule and no monotony. I've got experience in construction, automotive, restaurant mgmt, sales and more. I really have not found my passion yet but hoping in CO it will find me. :D
This past January i took and failed the co springs firefighter entry exam by a whopping .4%. Stupid human relations; evidentially i can save a person but afterwards they will be angry with me...go figure. I plan on re-testing next year. Would love to get into wilderness fire eventually.

Right now we are looking at apartments around the city so if there are any pointers? When we visited a friend told us to stay away from the SE part of town so that's all we got. I would prefer garage to work on the car/cruiser if anything breaks. Price range is around $6-800

Hope to meet some of ya'll soon and be wheeling soon!:steer:

Hi Josh,

I would agree with staying away from the SE part of Colorado Springs. Other than that lots of different areas in and around the Springs. I don't know what the rents are going for so I won't be much help in that department.

Maybe start looking close to where your wife will be working.

We meet the third Tuesday of each month. Most of the time we meet at Liberty Toyota at 7:00pm.

Come back often to this site to find out what trails are being ran.

No leads, but welcome!

Thanks for the welcome and leads, I will call soon.
Can't wait to be in the land of the beautiful!

Congradulations on the move. It's a beautiful state I am glad I moved here. I don't know of any good apartments, but stay more on the north end of town and you should be good. Hope to see you on the trail.

We made it! Got in last night from one loooong drive to get out of Tx, won't miss that. Loaded down and strong crosswinds or headwinds all through northern tx made it for a hot, slow drive. Both the cruiser and camry being loaded down, trying to get above 55 mph was futile. Once in Dumas for our first nights stay i noticed the new roof rack was hanging on by sheer divine intervension. I got it just in time for the move since i already had the yakima load bars i went with the mega warrior with extension. Not bad just not as stout of an accessory a land cruiser deserves.

We are now intown enjoying the cool weather and comforts of a hotel for the day or two until we find a apartment. Anyone know of a small house for rent please lmk!?

Anywho hope to meet some of y'all soon and make some new friends!

Vic I'm assuming the area code to that number is 719, I'll call u tomorrow to not bother your Easter Sunday.
