We took this off our ‘64 , wanted to know what it is and if it is worth keeping?

Early voltage regulator. Don't throw it away. Looks totally restorable.

May be an early VR but not Toyota. Has “Made in USA” on it plus mounting base is not Toyota OEM, neither is the terminal nomenclature. Interesting though if it was actually used on your ‘64 in place of the original OEM VR.

John @pardion would the ‘64 still have had a generator or an alternator?

GM replacement? Early 64-gen. Late 64-alt. As far as I remember.

Thanks that make sense, it looks like it has been on there a long time, I thought the guys looked great for being that old!
