Refilling Propane Cylinders..?

Our scout troop keeps about 10 little green bottles and I refill them regularly from my 5lb tank. I just follow the instructions and freeze the little guys for about 15 minutes, invert the large tank with the adapter screwed on, screw on the little bottle and open the large tank valve. When the hissing stops I close the large tank valve and unscrew the little tank. By weight, it 'feels' like I can usually get them about 3/4 full on a refill. In the several years I've been doing this, I've only had one bottle I couldn't get to stop leaking, even after trying all the tips that have already been listed above. Now I'll refill each one 3-4 times and then toss them for saftey reasons.

Where did you get the "adapter" from? I am looking for one.

Skillet's got jokes, but does anyone know if you can get one of those filler things at cabelas?:grinpimp:

OK is there some kind of huge, hilarious running inside joke about the word "adapter" in this thread?

I have a 40 gallons of Propane that I need to put in little green bottle or some other bottle.

I don't think one of those little green bottles will hold 40 gallons.
