New OEM Toyota GX460 steering rack, LCAs, and steering shaft are ready to be install. Other parts that will be installed include a new OEM power steering pump (considering my current pump has had quite a bit of metal go through it from 2 steering rack failures) and a Coastal Off-Road steering rack double shear kit which should make the new rack last longer. Lastly, I'm going to try some 12 mm ID / 14 mm OD bushings as steering rack bolt sleeves to avoid having to drill out holes in the GX470 crossmember. ETA for doing this work is late fall or early winter as we have some house projects going on this fall; the GX is drivable in the meantime.
For future readers of this thread - don't use non-OEM steering racks or non-OEM lower control arms/ball joints - they'll bite you in the future. My Cardone reman rack lasted about ~4.5 years while the Moog LCAs lasted about ~5 years, less than half as long as new OEM parts would have lasted. The Moog LBJs are the most frustrating as I greased them at every oil change, yet they still got loose. Using OEM parts in 2021/2022 would have saved me hundreds of dollars and hours of my time.
