Love the cruiser, the paint, the wheels, the turbo.

Keep up the good work. I love seeing others with the sickness :D

I really wanna get my cruiser re-painted. Maybe when I am out of college.

time for a small update,

first a picture from when i did a roadtrip across the country on october.

a few weeks ago i put in 80sq feet of damplifier pro and some pipeing insulation to dampen most of the diesel and road noise with great success, it is still loud when i hit the skinny pedal but much more comfortable at cruising speeds aka 80kmh. I will get new weatherstrips some day to lower the windnoise from the doors.

i also prepared wiring for my planned sound system

24V amps are not that easy to get hold of. still i have been able to scratch together a complete system form ebay for a reasonable price, Now ten speakers and two 1200w amps are waiting to be mounted :D

This is by far my favorite 60 yet! I love the clean stock look with those split rims and 255s, it just doesn't get any better then that. Don't worry about not having a bull bar your rig is to nice for that. Those pictures are great, thanks for sharing, and inspiring my build.

Gorgeous truck!

Great work!

Dude, just a question. Can you upload your pics from your computer instead of via www.imageshack.nonsense or something like that, where you first have to register and all. As far as I know I've seen more pics of you (in the snow), which dind't have the 'shack' thing.
Thanx

Thank you guise:)
Orionfj60: no, i am still running stock 16" splits. i have read it may be a issue with 15" and 16" depending on the design of the rim, not a issue for me since the spilts are the only thing for me:)

Methusalem: do you have trouble viewing the images? the reason i am using a external host is because i crosspost these photos on several forums and i can get away with only uploading them once.

i have neglected this thread because i have almost not taken any photos of the cruiser this winter, i have been on a few very nice trips without taking a single photo of my sixty, that is unexceptable.

I have found a few blurry pictures, lol. to sad because 4 feet of snow is quite exotic for many of you.

new batteries with new main cables, 35mm2 radox!

only actionshot i have from the last six months, during the first snowfall in november i got stuck in this sorry ditch.

here is a very blurry photo of the cruiser at 4oclock PM

good to have 4x4 on these snowy roads

here it is together with another hj60 and a very special HZJ76 owned by Doctors without borders, and is used for promoting their good cause, and it is run and maintenanced by volunteers mostly from the norwegian land cruiser club.

these are two most reasons for not fully engaging in the hj this winter..

Your truck looks great. Matching kayaks too.

Really great looking. I plan to have same set up 255/85r16 with split rims. What suspension set up have you got on her, and how much was the turbo glide kit?

Don`t worry I got a quote for turbo.. Ouch! mind you the extra power and sound is worth it huh!

As for rims, a couple of tire places here have told me that the 16x7 split rims are too narrow for the 255, they recommend at least an 8.. but maybe thats them making an excuse to not work with split rims? they don`t look too bulgy going from your pics

Word of the wise on the amplifier wiring. Dont run RCA's and power cables together. Unless you bought really nice true sheilded RCA's they will pick up some noise (yuk).

Run down opposite sides of the vehicle if possible.

Cheers

The turbo upgrade is the best thing i have done with my sixty, totally worth every australian dollar!

The Splits i run is 16x5.5 no problem at all. i dont air down to extreme low pressures because of the innertube anyways. These splits are very easy to work with and after a few times i can dismount a tire in under 5 minutes. even easier to put it together.

dbleon: i known :frown: i am crossing my fingers i will not get much humming, it was a thoughtless moment.

Those are outstanding shots!
Hey, from a Floridian who thinks anything sub 60 degrees is a cold snap, if it's cold enough for long sleeves, it's cold enough for some shoes:lol::lol:

I think we had over 60°F that day! therefore the barefoot season is on. We where also quite moist after sleeping without a tent in the rain.
It is also over 10°C (50°F) in the water so we also had the first proper swim this year.

i'm just jelaous... ;)
