I used to have a 80 Toyota P/U that I had my knuckles cut off and rewelded F450 knuckles back on only to get rid of the birfield problem. That worked fine for the rockcrawling stuff. Now, what I'm thinking is I might lift my Land Cruiser 6inches and everyone is running DC shafts with complaints of mild vibrations. I'm thinking about clocking my stock knuckes for daily driving purposes. Anyone done one??
would handle it too well if I started coming home w/ some new racing stripes. Reread your sig and see where yours is converted to part time 4wd. Did you use the kit from Mark's? If I decide to cut my knuckles the good thing is I'll be using the stock parts. No custom axles,u-joints,etc. The knuckle mod on the truck was about $3,000. By doing the stock axle on the LC I can do it free for the most part. Just my time and labor.
