Received my Dakota Digital gauge cluster - first impressions

Update- Josh at DD overnighted me a new tang adapter. The problem before was that the cable in the extension would spin inside the adapter and not generate a pulse. The new adapter has been squared off a bit and now seems to fit the cable much better. I have it installed, but won't get to drive it until later today. Excellent customer service by Dakota Digital!

Update- speedometer now works. New tang adapter did the trick! Now to get the fuel gauge calibrated........

Just saw your Dakota gauges... Looks excellent. Definitely going on my wish list. Is that the speedo sensor you show in your pictures..?? I see you had to calibrate it... How did you do it using your iPhone..?? Also, co saw you programed your current mileage into the odometer... Was that hard..??

Calibration of the speedo is simple. You can set it with a known measured mile, but I just used a gps on the iPhone and measured off the mile that way. Turned out pretty accurate. Inputting your mileage is very easy, but you have to do it in the first 100 miles (can't remember the number exactly, but think its 100). It's just a direct input. Once the mileage number has passed, you cannot input the number anymore.
