Got my letter yesterday, but it says to wait for further notice, unless your door is already cracked and it is about to cause a horrible disfiguring injury.

Yea, I got mine! Got to love it. Toyota will probably just put a sticker on it ,and call it good.

My were replaced yesterday (10July2013) at Toyota dealer in Austin, TX. My FJ was in for knock sensor code and replacement. Oh, it's a 2007 FJC so at least some dealers have the parts. The line item on the invoice has part as "04003-09135 REINFORCEMENT Kit, B 3504DA Inspect doors and install both reinforce" I had another recall on the invoice for "(Non-Compliance) Recall D0G Remedy Notice = Genuine Toyota Auxiliary Light Kit Accessory Desit to fit 2007 to 2013 Model". No part # listed but 7169 WT was in this line item.

This campaign adds a reinforcement plate where the seatbelt retractor mounts inside the rear door. In rare cases the door may be cracked. If that is the case the door gets replaced. Toyota is metering the supply of reinforcement kits. My allocation is 4 per day.

hmmmm, good to know.;)

I took my rig in Monday after work and dropped it off, and got a Corolla loaner to use to drive to work the next day.
The rig was ready by 1:30 Tuesday when I got there.
Had a faint smell of glue inside which went away after having the doors/windows open for a bit.

As far as I know, they do both doors.

Both doors. You can find the recall documentation online if you want to know exactly what we do when you bring it in. :)

Interesting, my wife dropped ours in here in Australia, and she was told they only did the drivers door. I may have to look in to this a little further
