Hey Guys,

A neighbor of mine is a semi-retired machinist. He is making a rear window gear for me out of steel. Any interest out there in having more made? I'll post pics when its done. Price is to be determined. The more we order the cheaper they are.

Want one!

Thanks

John

I don't think Cruiserguy is in the right country to get those gears made right now....Paging Cruiserguy...

I would like to have one. I am fairly sure my 72 will be the same as the 74. Please post a photo of your crapper one. I will try to find a few photos from the other post.

Ha Ha Ha... this is where I eat my words...

Check this out. https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-...m-brass-rear-window-gears-limited-time-9.html

There is a photo in there, mid way down page 9, of both types of gears. I actually have the type on the right, or the later model, or the type with the four square blocks on the inside with a slot inside the black part, not the type with the simple slot.

What are you having made?

depending on which one you are making I am interested!

Mine is the later gear on the right based on the pics. It has the metal insert.

I'm in for one like yours then. Please advise or update. Be prepared to get slammed with orders...;)

I'm in...thanks.

Depending on cost...need one for 72......I know the years dont tell you anything (or at least that is what CG says in other post), but I will take a look at what mine is too....LMK..

We do have prototypes made. Paul in Costa Rica can have them made up. We're working out pricing as we speak.

The reason the year of truck is useless information is that Toyota has only been supplying the "late model" gear for a long time and how many of us pig owners are the original owners?

If you're an original owner of a '69 pig and have never changed the gear I'll believe you when you say the early gear otherwise.....

CHECK IT OUT!!

Awesome. Thanks Cruiserguy. I go to CR every year and have property down there. Perhaps I can meet and pick up a batch the next time I go.

In for a late model whoever gets 'em done first!
