Are you looking for some type of hitch to pull a trailor or just something to hook a strap to?

There are 4 bolts in the center of your bumper and there are some after market reciever/ball hitches that can be bolted right up (see sor or man-a-fre). Or what I like to do is just cut the whole thing off and fab up a new bumper with the hitch built in!

I have a ball hitch attached to a drop down plate in that spot and would like to remove it (departure angle) and replace it with something I can safely attach a strap or d-shackle to.

You might check with your local tractor supply house. They should have something that will work but they may have to order it.

Otherwise you could find a local Fab/machine shop and they can make something for you forsure!

Ha ha...I was haveing the same problem and am at a loss. Trying to get ready for the fall gathering too. Sounds like I have just what you are describing too...On my 40.

Best I could come up with is I have a heavy/thick strap, about 2 inches wide and maybe 3/8 thick with loops at each end. If I put it around the frame on either side, (where the bumper bolts to the frame), and slip it through itself to make a noose...I think that would work well in a pinch. I dont expect to need it...famous last words.

That is the best I could come up with.

those four bolt holes on the bumper are an industry standard, both mitsubishi and isuzu use them as well. i got one off a montero at the junkyard a few years ago. as mentioned you can also hit a local tractor/AG/farm supply shop as they have various doohickeys that bolt-on those holes. also a good place to look is a trailer shop.
