Musta been the 39's .Interested to hear what Poly says . Just got a set ,Wheeled em' hard this weekend pretzeled a rear shaft but they held . Runnin' 37's right now but I was thinkin' about something a little bigger.

Called Poly on Monday. Very very positive response. They'll look at the pics and make a call - just being open to discussing is big in my book, that and it was the first person I talked to - 30 second conversation. Doing the teardown tonight (seeing as how I wanted to swap in a fine spline pinion diff anyways) and will send out the pics tomorrow. Out of Country surfing next week - so I'll update ASAP. Keeping my broke arse fingers crossed!

Yeah - normally limestone is slick as all get out, but I guess with the draught we've had combined with 39 Red Labels aired down was just too much. I am absolutely drooling to get out West and try some granite - have heard that traction out there is just insane!

You got a center limit strap? If not, get one and onyl give yourself about 1" droop in the center. It will at least help.

That's interesting - I will give that a try pronto - I can see the point of what it would do - Thanks. I've always thought they were just for big high flex vehicles. That would be a cheap partial solution - thanks.

He's the Poly - sent several pics to PP - owner back on Monday so hope to get a positive response. Twisted splines, bent shaft, and shattered in a place I'd never seen a stock one go before :D. Noticed what appears to be different thicknesses on the hardened outer shell?

Out the door for Costa Rica in 2 hours - will work on this when I get back :D.

stockers wouldn't break there because they neck down right before the diff... Those are designed more like minitruck shafts...

either way I am not impressed. I was right there when it happened. He had both rear tires climbing a slight under cut. He was wheeling with control and with out abusing the throttle.
