Took my LX 570 to the dealer to be serviced get it back and noticed that my rear subwoofer is broken just rattles since mines a 2015 I think it’s still covered under bumper-to-bumper I know it should be because it’s a CPO on top of that how does the service guys break your sub wolfer and how much is this going to cost to get fixed.

In my experience, CPO doesn't cover wolfers, so you're likely on your own there. Probably going to be hard to find one in Florida too!

I would talk to the service manager ASAP. I'm not sure what they were doing to break it, but I once had 2 speakers blown during a service and the manager said that eventually two guys confessed that they were "testing the volume range" of the stereo system.

Sounds like this might have happened to you.

That’s what I think happened I have six years of bumper-to-bumper warranty and I’m only 3 1/2 years in so I haven’t read anywhere over speakers were an exception but it’s like every time I take it into this damn dealer want to eat our yard jockey‘s break something getting real tired of It. 🙁

I assume this is Lexus of Jax on Atlantic. I started going there because going to Arlington Toyota felt like I was going to a buy here / pay here lot.
I am not super happy with the lack of knowledge or service at lexus, but they are at least decently quick when I make a 7am appt on the way into work.

Yes it is they’re nice always give me a loaner it’s just I think the yard jockeys with the employment situation like it is now that it’s hard for them to find people their quality seem to make a lot of mistakes not by the mechanics necessarily but by the lower paid people

The last time I was there I scheduled an oil change and diff fluid to be changed. I was told that I did not need the diff fluid changed, despite my request for them to do so. I guess it's better than them saying they did and really didn't.

The only reason I’m delaying on doing the transfer case is I doubt they’ll put the right fluid I’ll have to go to the parts manager make sure they have it in stock and then I’ll have to confirm with the service advisor that they’re going to use that fluid in my transfer case I will do the differentials separate from the transfer case before I get to 60,000 miles I’m not trusting them 😩

Yeah, see I was at 60k and they told me that it didn't need to be done. After short discussion, I quickly start to think that maybe I don't want them to attempt this anyway, if I am being talked out of the service. I figured factory sealed and filled is better than monkeyed with.

I was told that I did not need the diff fluid changed,

Let me get this straight. A dealer service department said you didn’t need to do work you wanted done? Sounds like bizarro world from Seinfeld.

That or they knew they wouldn’t be able to get the front diff plug out without it taking an hour

Yup. I was at 60k miles and asked for it to be done when I set the appointment online. When I showed up, he started talking me out of the work. When I said that I would like it done, he nicely pressed that it did not need to be done. At that point I felt like I was facing a wall of incompetence, so I dropped it.

Dealers are scared to work on the 200 IMO. I’ve had similar experiences at both the Toyota and Lexus dealers where I've asked for things and they were opposed to it. Oil changes are about all the dealer is good for, and sometimes i even question that.

Zero issues down here, but I suppose that could be the fact that there are SO many Tundras/sequoias and much of the drivetrain and suspension work is similar.

That’s a good question for this form do we have any members that never changed their differential and transfer case fluid’s and have a couple hundred thousand miles on their vehicle and only do on road driving because Lexus really doesn’t recommend changing differential or transfer case fluid if you don’t drive off road or tow?
