Is there any particular lube used on the rear window slider tracks, I was thinking some kind of light wax or some kind of rubber lube, I suppose I could crack my owners manual but that seems far too easy. I guess whilst we’re at it is there anything specific to the front and rear window tracks for the electric sliders. At work I give little to no Fuqz and I just blast some white lithium lube in there, but it’s usually on something crappy like a Land Rover or Audi, what I don’t like about white lithium grease is it collects dust and dirt and get harder than a hookers heart, I suspect there’s something better. Cheers!

The best fix is replacing the window run. I think members have used graphite dry lube after cleaning the old runs.
Think a lot of the problem with mine are they’ve never been used and got caked with 30 years of gunk, I’ll try some dry lube. I cleaned out the channels and got them sliding once again but haven’t gone whole hog on really cleaning them.

clean them as best you can.
even better get the windows out cause there will be a bit of buildup on the bit of the window that stays in the runner and that causes a lot of drag
once theyre all clean use a silicon lube etc and they should be much better.

They come out fairly easy?

I've found that the best way to clean them out is to wrap a damp rag over the edge of a plastic putty knife or old credit card and run it in the tracks. Once they're good and clean I use PB Blaster Silicone Dry Lube, but the cleaning makes more difference than the lubing.
