Hi I have a stock 2005 LX 470. My rear side to side is off by 1". Full heights are as follows: DF 19.5", PF 19.5" & DR 20" & PR 21". My techstream preasures are within spec 6.7 front & 6.7 rear.

Is this due to worn out rear coils?

I've been thinking about a 2" sensor lift as well as adding rock sliders & maybe drawers, if my rear side to side difference is due old coils would you recommend OME replacement (w/or w/out spacers) or the King coils.

Not going to speculate on the AHC stuff since I am no expert. But, I will say you cannot run OME coils with the AHC system.

Do you see any leaks from the rear AHC shock on the low side? Does it stay an inch low in H, N, & L modes?

If your front heights are level I wouldn’t worry much about it. Parking on anything but a perfectly level service will result in heights being a little off.

As for the replacement coils, I agree with @atnolan94 i would not put OME coils in. Way too high of a spring rate. Go with the king coils that were designed for the system. I’m sure you’ve seen my thread but to reiterate, I had great success with the coils.

And just to clarify. Its not just OME coils that won't work, it would be any aftermarket replacement coil designed to lift a non-AHC cruiser (ironman, tourflex, etc). As Dirt Dawg noted, King coils are designed for this system and would be a great option since you are considering adding some weight to the vehicle.

Thanks guys for the replies. I just remeasured moving the car back and forth a little & my rears difference is only off now by 1/4", so maybe I was not level before.

To clarify I meant to say replacing with Toyota Original replacement coils I didn't mean old man emu. What's the abbrev. for Original Equipment for future use.

So if I was going to go with a 2" AHC lift & only plan on rock sliders & drawers would you suggest keeping the coils or replacing with toyota original coils or the Kings. Thanks.

OEM is what you were looking for. Confusing I know!!

Dirt Dawg ran the AHC lift for a while so he will be a good resource. Read his build thread and other threads he's posted tons of good info.

Thank for the link. I've read it 3 times, it's what got me interested in a ACH lift in the first place.

Regarding adding the Japan shock spacers: If I only plan on attempting moderate level off road trails do you think adding the spacers is the way to go.

Ive got the AHC Shock Spacers and King Springs available, if you'd like them. Ill be posting them in the for sale section soon. I ran the AHC lift for a while with good results. I had about 1.5 inches of lift with full functioning AHC. I replaced the stock springs with King Springs, adjusted pressures w/ techstream, and the ride was great. Posting my build thread soon.

IMO only replace the springs with the king springs or factory Lexus springs.

The shock spacers aren’t necessarily needed as the hydraulic shocks have a great range of operation, but as stated in my thread, I used them to get them back to their normal riding position.

Without the shock spacers & a 2" AHC lift, does H mode still keeps its functionality.

@BNuts - if OP isn't interested in your springs/spacers, I am.
