Rear axel seals

[Windrose Cruiser]

I’m looking for some help on a part number or location to purchase rear axel seals for my 1973 fj40 VIN FJ40144354.

I’m in Phoenix, Right Toyota couldn’t find my VIN and had a couple options. No pic from Orileys, advanced or auto zone. Wondering if anyone else had a better direction.

Also, any tips on removing axels? From YouTube videos it just looks like removing a c clip from inside of the rear diff and shimmying out.

Looks like you have a late 2/73 production. Have a 2/73 FJ40 as well and in the valley. Your part number for axle seals is 90311-47029. Right Toyota should be able to get them. The service manager is a Copper State Cruisers member. When he was at Camelback Toyota he would recommend a person at the parts counter. Not sure about now. Right Toyota is too far away.

That is possible. Haven't seen anything on Copper State Cruisers about that. But since left Camelback haven't visited him at either of the dealers he went to work for. After he left Camelback it ended era of seeing old cruisers at a Toyota dealer having major work done.

I show a seal change 8/73. Same time for the bearing and inner axle shafts.
