Really Stupid HVAC question

Hey y’all, I looked for several years and picked up an 2004 LC. No rust and the Toyota pre inspection, as well as, personally inspecting vehicle determined everything worked and looked.

I bought the vehicle in November and haven’t had to use the A/C until today. When I hit the AC button, it didn’t illuminated green like the other button but just had a yellow bar toggle at the top. The AC worked, but have no idea if it’s suppose to be fully green or not. I know this is stupid, but is this correct or is it a malfunction. Thanks in advance….picture is attached

My wife who daily drives ours says that it doesn’t turn green, just a yellow bar 😂
 
I just leave the HVAC set to Auto then set temp (either AC or heat) and let it ride. Has worked great for over 10 years of ownership.
