this is going to sound dumb because i know i havent done my research yet but wanted a quick answer....

My dad is interested in a newer foreign spec cruiser 9x series or 105 or something like that. like i said i dont know much.

anyway we are in the usa and would want this to be as simple as possible. is there a company that sells these cruisers in the US? whats the easiest best way to go about this? website recommendations?

sorry i will do research soon just extremely busy

THANKS!

I would start by reading the "Everything I Know About Importing" thread in this board's FAQ section.

The main thing you have to address is that these foreign cruisers have to meet EPA emissions requirements for their model year (and this may be impossible to do through modifications), DOT labeling and safety (e.g. airbags) for their model year (again, wanna retrofit airbags?), and.... there's all kinds of other stuff I don't know or have forgotten.

You might just call one of the registered importers in the "Everything..." thread and ask them if it's at all possible. I don't think it is otherwise a lot of us with the $$$ might have them...

The 70 series is another possibility though...

Buy a local 80 series and fit a turbo diesel

I'm pretty sure that 100 series comes with air bags .. but not sure about the emisions in 1HD-T or 1HD-FTE engines ..
