I will not be able to make it:frown:, I still have to many house projects to finish up

Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow?

Essackly. I have many many home repair jobs that I let sit.. and sit...

You can always work on your house in the winter after wheeling season's over. If it wasn't for the salt on the roads, my wheeling season would be all year round.

I haven't even started to procrastinate yet! Maybe I'll start procrastinating tomorrow.

Saturday Rausch Creek update

A good time was had by all.............Six trucks showed, one of which was a 66 Bronco who had wheeled with us before- Sean will remember the guy, very capable rig and Bill the owner is a good guy. Toyota wise Burl had his 62, Dan F in his 40, my piggy, Chris in his 80, and Dale from MD in his sweet SAS 4Runner. Good crew.

Jeff was trail leader riding in Chris' 80, and did a great job selecting trails and getting Chris through all the rocks!!! We did blacks and blue/blacks and it was a great day. Way down in the bottom on the east property near the rock creek Burl broke a passenger side birf. We found a nice grassy flat spot near the bottom of trail 16, broke for lunch and repairs. Burl installed his spare birf and off we went an hour later. Dan got to use his OTC Toyota tie rod end removal tool!!!!!

We trucked up and over the hill to the south property and did snake bite from beginning to end. Interesting. Burl managed to scrape his passenger quarter pretty good before breaking his DRIVER SIDE birf near the end of snakebite! We got him out to the clear road and back to the staging area without incident. Good thing he trailered his rig.

All in all it was a great day, I got to see some of the trails I hadn't been on for awhile and also got to do some new ones. We didn't really run into any traffic problems but there were a lot of jeeps at the part yesterday. Only saw one other Toyota all day, a surprise. It was hot and humid and we were glad to be in the trees most of the day. Near the end of our wheeling day we heard a lot of thunder but by the time I left Rausch it hadn't rained at all. I did have a few drops hit my windshield on the way home.

Anyway it was a good day, as always. I look forward to the Fall Crawl and that will probably be my next wheeling date. Jeff will be chomping at the bit, though, to get the 45 on the trails as soon as his power steering installation is done. ....

See you all at the Fall Crawl!!!!! Gary S

Glad you had a good time Gary. I was some what tenative about Jeff selecting the trails as well.:flipoff2: As it were, the trail selection was great. I haven't ever been on such difficult trails with the 80. I don't think I could have gotten through unscathed with out Jeffs help. Thanks buddy.

It was too bad about Burl and his birf carnage. He may be the most prepared wheeler I have ever seen.. At least the 2nd one happened at the end of the day.

Anyway, I had a great time with good people again. Thanks guys.

Oh, and too bad about ND Gary. They looked like they had a chance till the middle of the 3rd quarter.

I had a great time. It was was fun wheeling with all. Jeff, thanks for a very good selection of trails, and some great spotting.

Most definately a good wheeling day, with most enjoyable wheeling partners.

I had trepidations about snakebite, but other than some pucker eliciting off camber spots, good times.

Of interesting note was the consumption of "fortified" fruit the night before the festivities!

John Merkey took care of my worn away diff plug guards with his own design. I have both Dale's and Burl's guards for when I next see them. I also got to enjoy a penna-dutch countryside tour enroute to and from John' shop. What a great area.

Well since last time at CMCC I was the support rig and this time I was the one needing support I still had a great day wheelin with all of you. Some I've wheeled with before and some this was the first time glad to meet all of you even the little guy in the Ford (Bill) :D

Just wanted to thank Gary for helping me and showing me a new way to change a birf, not to mention the parts Gary Thank You

Wished Bob could have made it,thanks for setting it up on a day I was OFF  Hope Matt's doing well and tell Ryan he has to get out sometime other than GSMTR

I'm thinking of starting the BBBF see if you can figure that one out.

And my 2wd low range I added worked great, when the birfs were a breakin
