OK Guys, it is time to update this thread. Looking for a waterproof (mostly) shell with at least pit zips and a hood. Under $200 would be great as I lost my free northface from work. I am 6" 150lb and usually take a medium. Any suggestions would be appreciated....

I got Frog Togs pants a few years ago and aside from the lining shredding a bit where I shoved my knee high muck boots through, they're awesomely waterproof. You would never think it if you hadn't seen this type of material before. It's almost paper-like in feel, but rip-stop crosshatched. And for $19 you cant go wrong.
I stood with the pants on over the boots in the SURF and the pants kept the waves out of the boots! I was bone dry, totally 100% waterproof, yet not sweaty at all!.
They're zippered at the ankle and come in XXXL.

If you are active at all in frog togs you will sweat. I work outside for a living and have to climb poles and work on telephone lines in poring down rain. My favorite rain jacket was a Marmont jacket I had similar to the oracle precip (very very breathable) but it got snagged and ripped which led me to the Carhart Shore Line jacket which runs for 150 bucks and is much much more abrasion resistant but is a little heavier but am very happy with it.
