railroad spikes

Anyone have some old railroad spikes? Looking for roughly 6 or so for a little project.

i might have some really old rusty ones. almost beyond recognition. thats why it took them. LOL

Only need enough for a rustic type coat rack project for an xmas gift, but some extras for the ones I screw up on wouldnt hurt. Geroge gave me a lead on some in North Van, but if I don't get over there before Cruiser Days I just might hit you up for some.

Just walk up a section of rail for 5min. You should be able to find what you need

Found the spikes I need under the Lions Gate bridge in North Van yesterday, thanks George for the tip.

Another stupid question; Where is a good local beach that has lots of driftwood? Went out to the beach along the Tsawwassen ferry terminal yesterday, but any of the driftwood there was very old and rotted for the most part. Doesn't look like anything has washed up there for awhile, which seems rather odd.
Looking for some thickish weathered board, or just something interesting looking. Kind of a "I'll know what I want when I see it" kind of thing.

I always found good driftwood along the dykes in richmond. That being said i lived in richmond at the time.

Lots of driftwood floats in at Horseshoe Bay.
Both at the beach and the marina.
