I've been running a Koyo Rad for 4 years 30K + miles with zero issues. That being said it I had to do it over again I'd go TRad. But if I was hurting for money I may try a Koyo again but probably not. 🤣

You got one of the good ones!! Mine failed in short order.

The 290 radiator has a tighter fin pitch and possibly different internal components used due to EPA manufacturing changes at the time. Both radiators are identical when it comes to fit. And it would be tough to verify if there is any true performance difference in most use-cases.

Mr T changed the fin pitch at the same time they removed the A/C condenser fan.

I opt’d for the 290 rad on my 07 as I have decided to just keep it all stock.

I also ended up just getting the more expensive radiator (part # ending in 290) to keep my truck stock. Living in Texas, I figured the extra $120ish I spent was worthwhile to possibly have a more efficient radiator, although the jury is out on it actually making a difference.
