I am interested in an FJ40 for sale locally that has the original inline 6 engine. So I have to sell mine to purchase it. More pictures of mine upon request.
ASKING $6,400
1976 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40
THE GOOD:
Rebuilt chevy 305 with a 2 barrel carb (great on fuel, and still has good power)
Four speed tranny
Front disc brakes
Really solid tub and frame (notice the lack of rust on the rear sill and quarter panels).
4 BRAND NEW bfg 33x10.50r15 tires (negotiable in sale and price)
Really comfortable Rugged ridge bucket seats (drivers seat is on a slider).
Rear flip and fold back seat (matching color to front.)
Rear lift shackles with new bushings.
3 point seat belts in front.
Bikini top.
The bad…Remember this is from 1976
Hard top color doesn't match.
I don't have rear ambulance doors, it has been switched to barn doors. The wipers and speedo aren't wired up, the transmission tunnel needs some love (I have fj60 boots I am going to put on and redo some metal work), the front bumper is bent on one side. Soft brake pedal (I think a brake booster vacuum line leak). Drivers side window regulator needs fixed (I have new window handles to go with it).
I have been driving this everyday (that it hasn't rained) for the last 6 months. It has never left me stranded.
