Getting ready to order some rear shocks for my 96 FZJ80
I find both OME63071 and OME63071L, cant seem to find out what the difference is.
found a OME application guide and there is an asterisk beside the 63071L but I can't find the description notes-https://view.publitas.com/arb-4x4-accessories-1/old-man-emu-international-application-catalogue-latest/page/190-191
can someone explain, please and thanks

I know that with the older Nitrochargers there was the N74E rear shock and the E indicated extended travel and understand now they use L with the new part numbers, something like 100mm longer in length. i could be wrong though!

Length is the difference. The 63020L/63071L are 47mm longer than their 63030/63071 counterparts.

We stock the full lineup of OME shocks and more importantly, can tell you wish you need for your 80. OME offers a half dozen current options for the rear of an 80, we’d be glad to help set up up with the correct ones and ship them as soon as today (Tuesday) for delivery as soon as tomorrow. 801-563-1277 / info@cruiseroutfitter.com

I don’t recall what the E stood for but I don’t believe it was ‘extended’. The N74E was the standard length rear 8x/105 shock, the N74L was the long. There wasn’t an N74 that I can remember unless it existed pre-2000? I’ve got some old application guides at the shop. I’ll have to take a peak and see if they notated what the ‘E’ was about.
