Doug - That's a good tip on an external filter.

E - I assume you mean the rad cooler in the pic. On the radiator is a top plastic tank where the rad cap screws on, and a bottom plastic tank, where the bottom rad hose connects to. In this bottom tank is where the cooler is. Notice in the pic of the cooler you can see where the two lines from the transmission connect to the cooler. It is cooled and heated by the water/anti freeze in the rad.

Bill thanks for posting a pic of the in-the-rad trans cooler, the ones I have seen in the past were just a single pipe in the tank and just about useless, that on the other hand is a real cooler and can actually move some heat into the water,
