Q's about early 45 cab.

If it helps the motivation - I had doors, but no roof. I had a frame, but no drive train or axles. My body was way rougher than that one.

Ahhh yes Gumby, I read your thread while researching for what this cab is, and your truck is one of the reasons I am going ahead with this! You have done an amazing job with yours and it has a great look.

I did a test fit with the bottom half of my '67 doors and they look like they will fit fine although they are not the correct type. Not 100% sure yet but I think in '62 it had the sliding window type which will be hard to get.

I actually have the correct doors as well, but shipping would be a killer! I will get a quote on the sliders and rubber on the slowest boat to oz! You will likely have to shorten an fj45 lwb frame from 116 down to 104, oh uh those are inches!! AT least you can find them in wrecking yards!

Hold that thought Whitey. I have a historic vehicle meeting tonight and there is a guy there that brings a few chrysler bits in from the States from time to time. I will ask him how he does it and should get an idea of cost. Thanks again.

This is the way to go...I've struck a deal with a mustang importer here in Vic to share some container space. The cost still hurts, but it's manageable.
